Hair And Makeup advice For Weddings
Having good hair and makeup on your wedding day is the difference between looking pasty and staying vibrant.
Although you may have pictured all this and feel confident to tackle the day as it comes, we would advice you to consider the following important points.
Make sure you have a trial run around three months before the wedding, with the person who will be doing it on the day. The trial covers things like;
-
Allergies
-
Style and colours
-
Flowers
-
Time of the wedding
-
Time of the photographer's arrival
-
Organise how many people in the wedding
-
Flower girls
-
Pageboys
-
Bridesmaids
-
Mother and father of the bride
-
Do the boys want their hair done?
-
Position of ornaments in the hair - veil/tiara
Not all of the bridal party will need a trial run but many hair and makeup artists will provide a complimentary trial run for the bride, sometimes even the mother of the bride too.
Many artists will also come to your home to work so make sure there is somewhere well lit for them to work their magic. Their work is timed backwards from the arrival of the photographer so allow time to eat, get dressed and relax.
Also don't forget that if you want another trial, just ask, one a month before the wedding is also recommended. Also if you change your hair colour or tan, visit your artist a week before the wedding to make sure this doesn't change the makeup they will use.
Organising a wedding isn't as easy it looks. It's always a good idea to delegate most of the paperwork and the above to a close friend or someone responsible you can trust.
Above all, relax and enjoy the fuss that everyone will make over you, it's your big day!
